so cold

Its so cold at night that you can see steam coming out of the grates.  You have to look very carefully at the picture but if you look towards the centre you can just see it Stumble Upon Toolbar

woods in snow

There are some recreational fields near where I live and in this snow they look very bleak.
All sorts of animal life in there including foxes, moles, and there is a woodpecker in summer.

At this time of year they are very quite and all you can hear is the rattle of the branches.

There are some foot prints of the animals in the snow so some things are still living in there Stumble Upon Toolbar

Sheffield Arena Simply Red

Simply Red are coming to Sheffield Arena for 2 nights on 15/12/2010 and 16/12/2010  to do their farewell tour.
This band seem to have been around all my life and in fact have been performing for over 20 years.
There music influence draws from soul and reggae and the first song I remember is "money to tight to mention" - kind of fits in with today.
There is also "holding back the years" and one of my all time favourites "New Flame".

Get yourself down to the Arena to see what should be a great night Stumble Upon Toolbar

The BT building

This is the BT exchange building at the town end of Ecclesall Road  in Sheffield.  This building won awards for design even before it was lit up.
By day it is a very plain building with no windows but by night - what a change

Sheffield has worked hard at revitalizing the city centre and making it modern.  BT has entered into the spirit with a bit of fun and it doesn't cost the tax payer a thing

Rising Sun - Abbey Lane - Sheffield

This is always a pub I enjoy to have a drink in and relax.  Its a traditional real ale but with loads of real ale drinks to try as well as the mainstream beers and lagers.

It is a pub which gets quite busy and has quite a few events on in the form of live music and quizzes.  The rooms are comfortable and there is plenty of places to sit.  There is also a darts board and board games in the pub - so if you fancy a game of dominoes or checkers???  There are also books which you can read and swap

Pub food is also available which is good and reasonably priced.

All in all a good night out Stumble Upon Toolbar
